What I love most about this "Zits" strip is Jeremy's muttered teenage abbreviations: "k" for "OK" many times over.

- I am a retired college professor in the Southwestern United States, communication studies my field. I've ALWAYS been interested in language and have done several light-hearted but serious page-a-day calendars on the theme for family and friends, the younger contingent of whom has encouraged me to do a blog. KKKKKKKKKKKK, a letter which I see repeatedly on facebook, stumps me. at first I believed it to be some sort of a portugese language thing, as I have quite a few young "friends" who live in brazil. however, now I see by the above comic strip that I was incorrect - I no longer need to figure the portugese translation and take a course on "how to become proficient in teenagisms".
